One small tear 12mm to blank margin, very light age tone to edges, otherwise in clean and bright condition with good strong print. Near fine.

Boards, printed title to front. Pp25. Boards age discoloured at spine, Library card affix to front pastedown, Neat ownership mark of 1898 on front endpaper together with a memorial bookplate. Small red stamp of St Augustines Abbey Ramsgate on blank lower area of first page. All pages clean and bright throughout with a very strong imprint. A very interesting address filled with William Morris's thoughts and views on art, beauty and the capacity of man to enjoy art. A good book with a respectful provenance.

This is a good copy, somewhat browned internally throughout with the occasional worm in the first 80 pages and sometimes affecting single letters but not objectionable. William Morehead's bookplate is pasted inside the front board. The very nice paneled and speckled contemporary binding has been rebacked.
