With one additional illustration and 13 diagrams. Index. Red cloth, titles stamped in black on the cover and spine: top edge lightly soiled, leaves crisp and bright. In the two-color illustrated dust jacket: edges chipped with short, closed tears, cover color shaded. One of the leaders of the Theosophical Society and associate of Annie Besant. Fifth reprinting of the 1927 revised and enlarged second edition. The scarce dust jacket is now preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
