Paperbound. 10 by 7 inches. VG with light edge wear. [24] pages, including the covers and four fold-outs. Based on the landmark self-portrait by Matuschka that showed the result of her mastectomy from breast cancer. The Pulitzer Prize-nominated photograph appeared on the cover of The New York Times Magazine in 1993 and helped launch the breast cancer awareness movement. With compelling photos and text by Matuschka that explore beauty, self-image, gender identity, and sexual politics. Uncommon signed.
