Judith Ortiz Cofer is a native of Puert Rico. She is a poet, essayist, and novelist whose books include "The Latin Deli" and "The Line of the Sun," which the "Los Angeles Times" called "magical." She is the Franklin Professor of English and Creative Writing at The University of Georgia.
