About This Item

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1920. Hardcover. Very Good. vii, [1], 350, [4] p.; 20 cm. Red cloth with gilt spine title. No dust jacket. Error in binding: the half title is bound between p. 2 and p. 3. Publisher's catalog of works by Huneker on four pages following text. Although primarily a critic of the arts, James Huneker (1857-1921) also published two volumes of short stories and one novel. Melomaniacs, his first fiction publication, never strays far from his interest in the arts, particularly classical music. In Very Good Condition: cover is rubbed; head of spine just starting to fray; pages are clean and tight.
