Good. [FIRST EDITION] Boston: Ticknor and Company, 1881. 4 Volume Hardcover set. Bound in identical 3/4 leather and marbled boards. Quarto size, eleven inches tall. Complete, In Four Volumes. 1880 and 1881. With color map of Boston at front of vol 1; hundreds of b&w illustrations of photos or documents, maps, images, etc. throughout (some tissue-covered). Brown leather spines & corner tips, with maroon/white marbled boards & page edges; gilt decoration & lettering on spines, with the lettering on two darker brown leather labels. Vol. 2 lacking front board, other vols. with split or cello-repaired spines, light toning throughour, else good overall condition. NOT EX-LIBRARY.
