New York & Chicago: Sheldon & Company, 1883. 2nd 'improved' ed., (1st-1857) . Black sp.+brown printed cloth. Good-. 13 Cm x 20 Cm. xiv+590, pub.lists on pastedowns and endpapers; extensive patchy tanning, front endpaper has early purple names stamp of F.J.Vaughan, Cartersville, Georgia, following blank fly has pencilled inscrip. 'Frannie (? ) Williams/ Desk 45 - /Class '89' beneath very faint traces of a third signature, some incipient gutter openings, front gutter split expsong netting but secure; spine had rubbed, cracked and chipped surface, rubbing to joints, attractively black lettered brown covers actually quite good with just a couple of small whitish pacthes lower front and slight corner rubbing, covers in protective fold-around plastic protective wrapper. A working copy only obviously of this quite scarce work on the cusp of the 'Moral Philosophy'/Psychology' transition, by a somewhat neglected figure in historical accounts of this shift. Note: quoted shipping rates are calculated for 500-700 gram net weight, cost will be modified up or down as appropriate outside this range.
