Hollywood: Warner Brothers, 1940. Original menu from the Sunset Bowling Center in Hollywood, California, circa 1940s.

Built in 1919 to house the executive offices and principal studios for Warner Brothers, filming was moved to Burbank beginning in 1930, and by 1938 the property was converted to a massive 52-lane bowling alley, the Sunset Bowling Center. The bowling alley was open 24 hours a day, and served what is now known as the classic range of diner foods, including breakfast, Kosher style sandwiches, malts and milkshakes, and steaks.

During its heyday the Warner Brothers Sunset studios produced "The Jazz Singer," (1927), "Looney Tunes," "Merrie Melodies," and much more, and it is due to these associations that the former bowling alley was designated as a historic cultural landmark in 1977, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. Today the building houses production offices and sound stages for Netflix.

An attractive five color, side stapled four page menu, in which the inner two pages are die-cut like bowling pins. Approximately 11.25 x 7 inches. Near Fine.
