Large, sturdy book, black spine, orange boards, very bright gilt lettering to spine, address label at top of first front end paper, ink note parallell to spine at bottom left on same page, 332 pages including glossy photo section and illustrations throughout. Several ink crossouts of obscenities on pages 9,10, 14, 148, 220 and 231. DJ glossy, blood orange spine, back and front borders, a color photo of man in kayak on front. DJ has light scratches on back. DJ and book, both Near Fine.
Synopsis
A National Magazine Award nominee, Peter Stark is a contributor to Outside, where he originally chronicled his Lugenda adventure. His work has also appeared in Smithsonian and The New Yorker. He is the author of Last Breath and Driving to Greenland and the editor of an anthology, Ring of Ice. He lives in Missoula, Montana.
