The poor quality proof paper stock is toned and there is a little damp staining to the bottom edge of the text block which extends into the margin corner of the prelims, otherwise the pages are clean throughout. Considered a classic of Christian apologetics, and the most popular of the author's non-fiction works. This volume contains revised and expanded essays adapted from a series of BBC radio talks made between 1941 and 1944, which originally appeared in print as three separate pamphlets.
