Internals quite clean and unmarked, sewn binding tight, solid. Red ribbon page marker. Illustrated paste-down. On front endpaper: Memorial Fund to the Defenders of Verdun Document. Rear endpapers with advertisements for Michelin maps. Four hundred thousand Frenchmen died for their Country on the battlefields of Verdun.
