About This Item
The First UK Edition printing by W.H. Allen in 1978. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with some light toning to the text block and page edges due to the paper stock used. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ or better condition. Light toning to the flap edges and spine. There is a hint of fading to the dark green spine colouring. The wraparound wrapper design looks very striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been inscribed and signed by the author to the second free blank end paper: 'Signed for Anna, with every good wish, from Dodie Smith 1978'. Profusely illustrated throughout by Anne and Janet Grahame Johnstone. A scarce title from the author of '101 Dalmatians' with such attributes. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
