John Snow, 1842. Leather Binding. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. xvi+624pp., with seven engraved plates (frontispiece in color) and a few smaller engravings in the text, by G. Baxter (lacks the map). Bound in three quarter green morocco over marbled boards, with gilt decorated compartments, and black leather spine label stamped in gilt. Rubbing along the edges, corners worn and bumped, spine top chipped, and boards rubbed, with a piece of teh marbled paper missing; internally some light soiling in places, title page chipped affecting a portion of the title, and lacking the map. Overall a Good copy; binding is intact and tight23 engr illus (1 color).
