Reviews

On Mar 13 2020, a reader said:
Ex-FBI agent Philip Ryker became involved because he wanted to, even though it might cost him his life....Such is the character Frank Gruber has created for this strange and exotic tale involving an impoverished Spanish Count, his gorgeous daughter who wanted to fall in love but only with a rich enough man; a continually hot under the collar duke who maintains a torture chamber in his dungeon; a nosy German journalist who shows up seemingly out of the blue, and a bank robbery in California. How all of these tie together make for one fine book by the master of suspense and action, Frank Gruber.
