Description

New York: Gnome Press, 1952. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing, the boards are very clean and sharp. The spine is straight with good titling, the spine ends are bumped with tiny rubs. The text block edges are lightly toned, more pronounced to top edge. The pages are crisp and clean, no spots marks or tears. Feels very well bound and lightly read. Near fine condition. There is light to moderate rubbing to the jacket fore edges. The front panel has an 8mm tear with associated creasing to the bottom edge, with a very small Japanese paper repair to verso. The joins have minor rubs at ends with very tiny losses. The spine has some light toning and very light wear at ends. Rear white panel has some light marking, with a small loss at the top edge. The bottom edge has a 6mm tear at lower corner. Jacket grades as very good. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A very solid copy, of this novel by van Vogt, looks attractive retaining bold colours, and nice on the shelf in the archival fitted cover.
