London: Faber and Faber, 1961. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo. 232pp. First edition. Red cloth, gilt spine titles. Light shelfwear at spine ends and tips, light toning to edges of textblock, bookseller stamp on front pastedown, else very good (+). Unclipped very good (-) jacket shows moderate edgewear and soiling, several <1/2" closed tears, and weakening/rubbing along hinges. Includes stories in English translation by Ilse Aichinger, Heinrich Boll, Hermann Hesse, and roughly a dozen others. Edited with an introduction by H.M. Waidson.

All books ship free with tracking to domestic addresses via USPS Media Mail. In most cases, delivery takes place within a three to ten day window, although the vicissitudes of USPS may apply. Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.

We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports. All books with dust jackets are fitted with brand new archival protectors prior to shipping.
