The great finance capitalists 1925-1950. 374pp. The standard text on the American capitalists of the era after the Civil War. The Vanderbilts, Fricks, Goulds and Morgans were predatory stealing Ameriucan resources but also grand portentous figures beyond moral appraisal. Could also be called "sons of the robber barons". The author tried to make a living in the 1920's writing about these financiers and eventually those articles and his later work became this book.
