London (4 Bouverie St & 65 St Paul's Churchyard): The Religious Tract Society. Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Groonme, W H C. Not dated but c.1915. 7th impression. 320pp plus publishers adverts at rear. Monochrome plate frontispiece and 6 further similar plate illustrations, all by W H C Groome. Pictorial red cloth covered boards (illustrated on front and spine). Boards rubbed and faded, cloth fraying around sunned spine. Previous owner's name on fpdep. Prelim pages faintly stained through from red boards and mild spotting throughout. Rear hinge cracked. Small 8vo (approx 7.75 inches tall). Mrs George De Horne Vaizey, who also published under the names Mrs Henry Manserge and Jessie Manserge was a phenomenally popular and prolific author of stories for girls in the early years of the 20th century. Small 8vo (approx 7.75 inches tall).
