Elizabeth Gordon (1866-1922) was a juvenile fantasy author whose works include Flower Children, Bird Children, and Mother Earth's Children, a delightful collection of poems about the "frolics of the fruits and vegetables." Illustrations by M.T. Ross engage children to identify a variety of plants and birds. M.T. Ross (1881-1937), who was affectionately nicknamed "Penny", was an illustrator and comic artist in the early twentieth century. He lived in Oak Park, Illinois and had his studio in downtown Chicago. He was one of the first co-workers of Walt Disney, as well as a close friend of R.F. Outcault, with whom he developed 'Buster Brown'. Both are 1st edition in Fine condition.
