About the author

PHILIP REEVE worked in a bookstore and produced and directed several plays before beginning a career as an illustrator and writer. His first novel, Mortal Engines, was shortlisted for the prestigious Whitbread Children's prize. Philip lives outside of London, England.

DAVID WYATT's illustrations have graced the books and covers of such authors as Terry Pratchett, Philip Pullman, Diana Wynne-Jones, and J.R.R. Tolkien. He live in Devon, England.
