Dec 25, 1909". ** A personal recollection of President Grover Cleveland by Jesse Lynch Williams (1871-1929), an author whose grandfather had been appointed by President Abraham Lincoln as the government director of the roads. The anecdotes in this book illustrate the former president's humility, generosity and love of the countryside. ** Janet Greig Post (??? - 1964) was an 1894 graduate of Knox College, and became a member of Knox College Board of Trustees. She published a weekly newspaper, the Galesburg Post, and was a correspondent of the poet and biographer, Carl Sandburg.
