About This Item
London: Heinemann, 1931. First edition, first printing. Published by Heinemann in London, 1931. This is a very good (or better) copy. The dust wrapper, pleasantly illustrated, has some handling marks, creasing and slight chipping throughout. Showing 8/6 net on the spine. It has not been price clipped. The boards have a lean and there is slight damage to the front hinge. The internals are marginally toned and the text blocks foxed. There is a small but neat and charming inscription to the front fly leaf, dated 1932. This is a very good (or better) copy. A novel set in the English Midlands, where Mrs. Pennington sets up as an English Madame Bovary with a sense of humor.
