About This Item
1989. First edition. Paperback. Very Good. Very clean & tight, as new but sm crease & a few superficials on cover. Mr Ponsonby, set in an old rooming-house under threat of demolition, is the story of one man's greed and the destruction of the human environment. The novel describes the efforts of property developer Charlie Leach to demolish the Molly Grieves' rooming house in the name of progress. But parallel with the destruction of the old Ponsonby runs the theme of the search for love by a variety of characters.
