Hitherto no attempt has been made to represent the grace and external charm of fine lutes and harps, of viols, virginals, and other instruments." Â from the Introduction page VII. Minor flecking of the boards, the bottom corner of front panel lightly bumped, several small knocks to the bottom edges of the boards, top edge tinted red. Otherwise in extremely good condition, (0.5 "tear hidden in the bottom left hand corner of page IX, the illustrations bright, the pages clean, and the binding tight.
