About This Item
London: Faber and Faber, 1946. Some creasing and small tears to edges of unclipped dustwrapper, particularly to top end of the spine. Minor bumping to corners of green boards, previous (original?) owner's name on f/ep, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. The story, set in mid nineteenth century France, deals with the lives of three orphaned sisters living near an old castle in the Loire valley. Originally published in 1945, this is a second impression from the next year. 185pp.. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
