A book about a policeman who has secretly hated a man, a former schoolmate, but who cannot bring himself to sign off on his first police statement as to cause of death. The problem is that he is not completely confident that he had nothing to do with the other's grisly come-uppance. John Bingham is the pseudonym of Lord Clanmorris of MI5.
