Description

Bookplate of John W. Dafoe pasted on inside cover. Dafoe was longtime editor of the Manitoba (later Winnipeg) Free Press and active in Canadian and Canadian-British politics. Dafoe was also president of the Canadian Political Science Association and chancellor of the University of Manitoba. "Dafoe from Northcliffe, Aug. ? 1921" penciled on front-free end paper. Lord Northcliffe was founder of The Daily Mail and one of the first media moguls. Book cover is scuffed and slightly dented on one edge. Rear hinge has 2-inch split.
