Bound handsomely in a bright red fine-weave cloth cover, with gilt lettering over black cloth label over spine. Accessible, influential "account of the history, art and mythology of the Polynesian races," with 16 full-color plates, 13 line illustrations, and 32 half-tone plates and 44 other black-and-white illustrations. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. Prelims + 3-513 [1] pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
