1967 1st, 1967. First edition. Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1967. First edition. Critical examination of the writings of Vladimir Nabokov (1899-1977), the Russian-American novelist who is considered one of the most original masters of 20th century fiction, and is best known for his scandalous novel "Lolita" (1958). Includes an ample selection of Nabokov's poetry, prose, drama, and literary criticism, much of which had been long-forgotten, even by Nabokov himself. Jacket lightly rubbed, with a few short tears, a large piece of transparent tape to the spine head, and a small tape mend to the bottom edge on the verso; otherwise a very good copy.
