Romsey: William Sharp for the Author, 1817 On the 13th of September between the hours of seven and eight in the evening, fifteen persons, the whole party in the boat, including the waterman, were plunged into the river, to rise no more. Biographical sketches and extracts from the manuscripts of some of the persons who suffered by that event. 165pp decal edged. A good quality library binding with strengthened hinges. Library plate to the front pastedown and one stamp to the reverse of the half title, otherwise clean and tight throughout. A scarce and unusual item.
