Written by a Confederate States of America general Joseph E Johnston, which includes a thorough discussion of the course of the war and its battles and politics. 133 page Appendix includes military orders, communications, other substantiating documents, as well as a brief history of the original of the Confederate battle flag. This belongs in every Civil War library!

It is complete with only minor damp and foxing within. Professional conservation included re-backing with original spine piece re-applied as shown. Aged end pages.
