First edition thus 418pp very good- (rubbing, sl bruised corners, cocked, sunned spine w. bumped head and foot, minor bumps and edgewear to boards, discolouration to paste-downs and free endpapers, minor internal separation at hinges and just appearing between several sections of text but not affecting stability of book, owners name unobtrusive at ffep, occasional light foxing), illust., folding maps present throughout. For the most part articles sent back to England by a correspondent of the Daily Telegraph.
