"Nathalie Novarina was born in 1967 and studied at the Ecole Supérieure d art Visuel (Fine Arts School), Geneva from 1988 to 1991. Her partner, Marcel Croubalian was born 1967 and studied at the Ecole d architecture (Architecture Studies), University of Geneva. Their first collaborative work was sponsored by the State of Geneva Fund for Decoration and Visual Arts. Since then their work has been exhibited and received acclaim all over the world. Having worked together for many years, the two artists seem to have found a fluid mode of collaboration. All their work, created in a laboratory with hi-tech equipment such as giant-screen computers, scanners, synthesizers and editing machines, is co-signed. Their house, full of unusual gadgets like the manga doll, baby-robot and cartoon monsters, is a source of inspiration. Nathalie Novarina and Marcel Croubalian live and work in Geneva.
