About This Item
London: Readers Union, 1964. Readers Union edition from 1964. Minor creasing to edges of dustwrapper, some red marks on front and back panels: this would be due to the next book on previous owner's bookshelf rubbing againt it. Otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Slightly misleading title: the book deals with the author's two and a half years working in Australia, including working as a governess on a Queensland sheep station, sapphire mining, and as a cook on a cattle station. Originally published in 1963, this is the Readers Union edition from the next year. 224pp.. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover. Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
