London: n.p., 1961. Worn at edges and corners, with a cluster of short, closed tears at the top. 4to, 60 mimeograph pages; wrappers. Pre-publication state of Redgrove's second collection of verse, which was published commercially by Routledge. With a presentation inscription "Christopher Middleton, with greetings, Peter, Jan '61" and a one-page autograph letter signed by Redgrove to Middleton laid in. Scattered holograph corrections throughout, and three inserted typescript leaves supplying new text. There can have been very few of these advance copies produced.

Library copy, with expected inserts and inscriptions. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears and creasing.
