About the author

James Orr (1844-1913) served in the pastoral ministry for seventeen years prior to the publication of his lecture series, 'The Christian View of God and the World'. Upon publication, Orr launched an academic career serving first at the United Presbyterian Theological College in Edinburgh and then at the United Free Church College in Glasgow.
