Tiny dent to bottom front board. Hardly noticeable curve to back board. A 1" closed tear down front cover of DJ at top spine and a .50" closed tear to top back cover near flap fold. Mild shelfwear and rubbing to DJ extremities. Aqua cloth-covered boards. Black lettering to spine. Blue stylized silhouette to brown DJ. 637 pp. Clean, tight, bright. A kaleidoscopic view of the methods that have been used to investigate neural mechanisms of learning and memory over the past twenty years: electrophysiology, quantitative neuroanatomy, electron microscopy, biochemistry, behavioral psychology, and information-processing mathematics. Perhaps the most remarkable fact...is that recent experiments have seemingly confirmed the susceptibility of the brain to actual physical and chemical changes as a result of training or "enrichment" of the environment.
