Description

NY: Oxford University Press. 1974. 487pp. The book has fading on the top and bottom edges of the boards, most noticeably at the top of the spine. The bottom 1/8" of the spine shows a tiny bit of shelf crumpling. The d.j. leaves much to be desired. There are chips and tears, including a 3" tear up the front flap hinge, 1" tear at the top front, and tears on the open corners. There are chips at the front bottom, top front hinge and open corners, bottom and top of the backstrip, and - the really bad one - a chunk missing from the rear. Also, the d.j. shows fading on the spine and both front and rear. See pictures. The previous owner's bookplate with signature is pasted opposite the title page. (53660) . Very Good. 0195017382 . Hardcover.

Online bookseller selling books of all genres.

Terms of Sale: Items are 12mo. or 8vo or 4to. in original binding and in at least good condition unless otherwise noted. The dust jacket condition will be noted separately in the item description. Items are subject to prior sale, though we update our online inventory to remove sold books in a timely manner. Most books are posted with at least a picture of the cover, with other pictures of notable features or defects. Additional pictures of any item are available upon request. We strive to accurately and comprehensively describe the condition of each item for sale and will gladly provide further details if asked. Standard shipping in the U.S. will go by USPS Media Rate; faster shipping will go by USPS Priority Mail. The shipping costs are based on most books weighing 2 - 4 pounds (1 - 2 kg). International shipping will cost more, unfortunately. Large, heavy books may require additional postage, but we will try to avoid this if we can. If feasible, dust jackets will be placed in protective sleeves before shipping. If you don't like the protective sleeve, they are easy to remove without harming the dust jacket. We ship books protected by bubble wrap in carefully-taped boxes. For Priority Mail, we will usually box the book, then place the box inside a Priority Mail flat-rate envelope; most Priority Mail boxes are either too large or too small for individual books. The "shipping times" are usually accurate, but delays can happen, as we have no influence on the national or international delivery industry! A tracking number for your package is available upon request. USPS Priority Mail shipping includes insurance. All orders may be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt.
