London: Darton and Harvey,, 1797. Hardcover. Very Good. 16mo. 120pp. Illustrated withthirty wood engraved portraits, full length, of monarchs in the text. Bound in original Dutch patterend boards, shaken and defective to the spine, but a clean complete copy. This was the last of the 18th Century editions of this popular illustrated history book for children first issued under this title by Newbery in 1759, subsequent editins brought up to date, this one down to 1794 only. Scarce.
