About This Item
Nicolai Felchin died in 1955. some called him a 'living old master'. He was Russian, but he lived in Taos, NM at least half of his life. His subjects were from all over, but American Indians and the southwest were a constant subject. His house in Taos is a registered cultural landmark, he built most of the furniture himself. There is a Felchin Institute in Taos. Laid in is a brochure for the Institute and another for the Kit Carson Memorial foundation. The book has bumped corners, but the pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket is torn at the upper right center, and it is repaired with clear tape. The book is signed by Eya Fechin, the subject's daughter. There is an inscription, but it's not personalized.
