Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Color illustrated wraps, Bibliography, Chronology, Printmaking Terminology, Catalogue of the Exhibition, illustrated with 51 color plates and 188 duotone illustrations. An exhibition catalogue published in conjunction with an exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Los Angeles County Museum Of Art in 1995. Wraps lightly scuffed, short tear back top edge, book slightly bent due to heavy books being placed atop it. "An extreme romantic, the North German painter Emil Nolde (1867-1956) was one of the most intuitive painters of the early twentieth century. For Nolde, as for many of his German contemporaries, creative printmaking was a major part of artistic expression.
