Iowa City, IA: Prairie Press. Very Good in Fair dust jacket. 1964. First Printing. Hardcover. Original off-white pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth boards. Dust jacket is in fair condition with heavy wear and toning to spine; title is worn off and top and bottom are chipped. Dust jacket also has dampstains on front and has a Mylar cover. Blue boards with title gilt on spine are in very good condition; light wear to corners and top and bottom of spine. Presentation copy, inscribed by author on first endpaper. Leaves are unpaginated. Carruth, a winner of the National Book Award for Poetry, presents a poem which is "developed in a dynamic relationship to the cycle of winter..." Includes color illustrations created by Dale Ballantyne, and the body type and display of the book were hand set. ; Color Illustrations; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; Signed by Author .
