(Paris),: Bordas,, (1961-1970). 4 volumes, 256; 198; 228; 224 pp. Small folio (23 x 30 cm.). Original publisher's cloth with coloured dust jackets (damaged). With numerous text illustrations, 39 plain plates and many species on 316 finely coloured plates after the lithographas of Mourlot. ¶ Originally published 1956-1967 and known as one of the finest of 20th century mycological iconograph by this great mycologist. The most of the colored plates are after the magnificent water coulors of J. Chenatais, who have spent over 50 years to complete this remarkable series of mushroom portraits. In this set the volumes III & IV are in here in first issue.
