Winner of the 1935 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Measures 5.5" x 7.5", 231 pages with an additional page of publisher's advertisements. With its original dust jacket that features the fold-out with reviews and Pulitzer Prize notification on the front panel. The dust jacket is in good condition. Sunning to the panels with moisture stain to the rear panel. Tear and creases to the spine, with chipping at the edges, affecting the title and publisher. Creasing to the fold out flap with a small tear at the fold. The original price of $2.00 is present on the front flap. The book is in very good condition. The boards retain their rich brown color with firm edges. Stain to the rear board. Previous owner's gift inscription in pencil on the front endsheet. Light foxing to the fore-edges.
