First edition first printing with the date of 1934 present on both the title and copyright page. No subsequent printings present. Published by Simon and Schuster, New York, 1934. Winner of the 1935 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Small 8vo, 231 pp with an additional page of publisher's advertisements. With a later printing dust jacket that features the fold-out with reviews and Pulitzer advertisement. The dust jacket is in good condition. Minor to moderate creasing and chipping to the extremities. Chipping at the top edge of the spine, eliminating "Now" from the title. Tape repairs made to the verso at the spine. The original price of $2.00 is present on the front flap. The book is in very good minus condition. The brown cloth boards are well preserved. Minor to moderate soiling to the boards and spine. The textblock is lightly toned but clean.
