New York: Albert & Charles Boni, 1928. First edition. A fine copy in a lightly toned dust jacket with handful of small chips.. Small 8vo, 113pp; original boards with cloth spine and tips. Scarce volume of poetry by a Pulitzer Prize winner and longtime Columbia University professor. This is a presentation copy, inscribed by Van Doren on the front endpaper to his brother and sister-in-law: "to Frank and Grace from Mark, September 21, 1928". Frank was one of the non-literary Van Dorens who remained in the family's home state of Illinois where he was a farmer.
