In the original publisher's cloth bindings. Externally, sound. There is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines. There is some loss to the head of the spine of Volume I and some wear to the head and tail of the spine to Volume II. The hinges are strained but firm. Prior owner's ink inscriptions from 1947 to Volume I and 1949 to Volume II. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light spotting to the endpapers. Good
