Illustrated end papers, showing little girls, reproduced many times over, who are jumping against a pale yellow background. The text is illustrated with wonderful and numerous Kate Greenaway illustrations -- 1 to each nursery rhyme and maybe a few extra. Laminated illustrated front boards, again showing wonderful Kate Greenaway illustrations with green and blue titles to the front panel and blue and black to the backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper, using same illustrations as for underlying boards, with white background and green and blue titles to the front panel and blue and black to the backstrip. Gift inscription written inside the circle of roses on the title page is dated 1993. Slight ruffling of the top edge of the dustjacket. . Kate Greenaway was one of the first illustrators of children's books in the 19th century. This is a wonderful example of her work using classic nursery rhymes. . Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall.
