Rebound in half red cloth over floral paper boards and gilt lettered spine, without the half-title, engraved plate to face p. 47 placed in after p.87. 270pp. With Appendix 1, 2, and 3 by Robert Kinglake, M. D., with a second Appendix 3 and a conclusion, 124p., plus index with irregular pagination and the errata at the end. Ink stamp of the 'Medical Faculty Library, McGill University', with ink call number to lower margin of the advert leaf. Damp stain to the top third of the engraved plate with light occasional spotting to the text, but overall a good clean copy.
