VOLUME1: 8vo, approximately 225 x 145 mm, 8¾ x 5¾ inches, the prelims bound out of order and missing two leaves (pages 9-12), as often found, pages: (4), (13-16) followed by (1-8), 1-324, viii, - catalogue of the principal books quoted in the volume, 1 margin has a closed tear neatly repaired, not affecting text, otherwise a very good clean tight copy, complete with the half-title. VOLUME 2 : 8vo, approximately 225 x 145 mm, 8¾ x 5¾ inches, pages: viii, 1-344, light age-browning and foxing throughout, a few small corner creases, no half-title present, otherwise a good copy. Both volumes rebound in modern quarter crimson morocco, gilt lettering and decoration to spines, marbled boards, new endpapers and pastedowns, top edges red, housed in a plain crimson cloth slipcase.
